Licensed Mental Health Professional – San Antonio

The Ecumenical Center is looking to hire a full-time, experienced Texas licensed mental health professional to join our professional staff and provide mental health services to children, adolescents and adults. These services will include play, individual, parent, family, and group therapies. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and aspire to attain supervisory status (RPT-S) to assist in training interns and practicum students. Licensed Mental Health Professional – Corpus Christi

The Ecumenical Center and Amistad Community Health Center are seeking a full-time, Texas licensed mental health professional to provide counseling and consultative services to patients that the Amistad medical team have diagnosed with a chronic disease (e.g., diabetes, elevated cholesterol, etc.). The ideal candidate will be bi-lingual (English-Spanish) and will have had experience in working with patients who may be unfamiliar with the interplay of mind-body and chronic medical issues. Development Director

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The Development Director is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive development plan to increase major gifts to the organization, which includes foundation and corporate gifts/grants and individual and planned giving. The position requires the individual to lead fundraising by seeking out and establishing funding relationships with individuals, businesses, corporate donors, and foundations to cultivate a tradition of giving to the organization. The position is responsible for writing grants, donor cultivation, all grant reports, program management and meeting deadlines. This individual will assist in coordination of fundraising events, including but not limited to the Ethics in Business San Antonio program and the Legacy of Hope Luncheon, in addition to establishing new activities. The responsibilities of the Development Director will be executed on behalf of the organization to support the mission established by the CEO and the Board of Directors.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive plan to identify, cultivate, and solicit various donor prospects
  • Create and maintain donor database and computer database of gifts
  • Oversee fundraising events, end of year giving, and on-line giving
  • Collaborate with Board Development Committee to implement fundraising strategies
  • Develop solicitation letters and tailored proposals
  • Prepare and send donor acknowledgement letters (with CEO signature)
  • Complete and submit reports required by donors or foundations
  • Provide CEO weekly reports of proposed and pending donation requests
  • Identify and complete on-line applications for matching gifts, grants and sponsorship requests
  • Assist with educational programs and budget preparation
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/TRAINING WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree preferred, Bachelor’s Degree required in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field or related experience
  • Must have 3-5 years experience in nonprofit development, marketing or fundraising
  • Have excellent computer skills and experience in using social media platforms
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills
  • Be extremely organized, able to meet deadlines and work under pressure and must follow through on all tasks
  • Effectively work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must be creative and have strong time management skills
  • Must take direction from the CEO and keep the CEO actively informed
  • Proven experience in successfully securing major and planned gifts

HOURS and Compensation:  40 plus; with flexible schedule. This position may require some weekend and after-hours work. EC offers a benefits package.
