Education
The Center has a long history of preparing healthcare professionals and enhancing the skills of clergy in the ministry of counseling and pastoral care. We extend that outreach to our greater community by offering workshops for business professionals, individuals, families and couples on a variety of life issues.
We currently offer three programs:

Rio Grande Valley Courses
The Ecumenical Center offers the Specialty in Pastoral Counseling course and community-based workshops for clergy and lay leaders in the Rio Grande Valley. These programs were created especially with and for Latino and Latina pastors of South Texas.

Ethics in Business Initiative
The mission of the San Antonio Ethics in Business Initiative is to promote ethical business conduct for the benefit of the workplace, the marketplace, the environment and the community.

Conversations About Ethics
Conversations About Ethics is a series of lectures and discussions about ethics issues presented by the Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics and the Ecumenical Center for Religion and Health through the generous support of Methodist Healthcare Ministries.
