Rev. Dr. Les Hollon
Chairman
Les Hollon, PhD, is a pastor, professor, writer, and Texas Hill Country native. He retired after 43 years in senior pastoral ministry, including 13 years at Trinity Baptist Church in the heart of San Antonio. He helped bring Baylor’s Truett Seminary to San Antonio in 2020 and teaches leadership there as an adjunct professor. His wife Vicki is a vocational minister with a doctorate who teaches pastoral care, and together they have served in various global regions. They are proud parents of three and grandparents of four, with their entire family of twelve living in San Antonio.
Dr. Kelley Frost
Vice-Chairman
Dr. Kelley Frost is a businesswoman, licensed counselor, and civic leader who advocates for mental health, accessible education, and causes empowering women. She owns Frosted Home, an interior design business, and maintains a private practice in counseling. She serves as president of the Rotary Club of San Antonio and on the board of the Mays Cancer Center at UT Health. Dr. Frost holds four degrees, including an MBA from UT San Antonio and a PhD from St. Mary’s University, and has been honored with induction into the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame, among numerous other awards. She chaired The Ecumenical Center Foundation board in 2015 and completed her clinical work at The Center in 2010.
Mrs. Mary Ellen Archer

Mary Ellen Archer is vice president of Jefferson Bank in their private banking group, celebrating 11 years with the bank in 2025. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in finance and marketing and began her career as a natural-gas trader at Transco Energy. She and her husband Stephen have raised two daughters who are now young professionals. Mary Ellen is passionate about serving and protecting others, with a particular heart for vulnerable children.
Mr. Charles Robinson
Treasurer
Charles Robinson, CFA, is the founder, chief investment officer, and chief compliance officer of Robinson Value Management. From dreams of being a doctor to working at the San Antonio’s Union Stock Yards to selling cutlery door to door, Charles has seen it all over his lifetime. With over 30 years of experience in capital markets, he now co-leads all aspects of his firm, Robinson Value Management, including portfolio management, security analysis, compliance, and IT systems. Charles holds an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a BA in Economics from Davidson College, and is a CFA charterholder and past president of the San Antonio Society of Financial Analysts. He is active in the community as an elder at First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Order of the Alamo and the Merry Knights of King William. When not working, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.
Ms. Jennifer Bennett

Jennifer Bennett is a passionate advocate for accessible mental health services, drawing on her own experience with therapy to support The Ecumenical Center’s mission. Her professional background includes services marketing leadership at American Express, Merrill Lynch, and USAA, and she holds an MBA from Columbia University and a Certified Financial Planner® certification. A 2020 graduate of the Masters Leadership Program of San Antonio, she currently serves on the board of the MLP Alumni Association and previously served as President of Impact San Antonio. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and international travel, preferably in combination.

Mrs. Christine Butschek
Board Member
Christine Nelson Butschek is a seasoned biopharmaceutical leader with more than 32 years of experience, recognized for her commitment to patient advocacy, high-impact leadership, and meaningful relationship-building across healthcare. Beyond her professional career, Christine has dedicated countless hours to civic and nonprofit service, including leadership with the Junior League, the American Cancer Society’s Cattle Baron’s Gala, the inaugural Susan G. Komen Race in San Antonio, and five years as a CASA advocate for children in the court system. Christine remains deeply committed to supporting San Antonio’s initiatives, with a focus on outreach, advocacy, and strengthening resources for those most in need. Her career and service reflect a lifelong dedication to leadership, compassion, and making a lasting difference in the community she calls home.
Maj. Gen. Al Flowers
Board Member
Major General Alfred K. Flowers is President of KAL-46 Consulting, author of Reflections of a Servant Leader, and a senior consultant and motivational speaker. He is the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for budget, where he was responsible for $170 billion in Air Force funds. Enlisting at seventeen, he rose through the ranks over 46 years before retiring as the longest-serving airman in Air Force history and the longest-serving continuous active-duty member in the history of the U.S. Department of Defense. He holds degrees from Thomas Edison University, Southern Illinois University, Ball State, and the National Defense University. His military honors include two Distinguished Service Medals, the Legion of Merit, and seventeen other decorations. He is married to Ida M. Flowers and has one son, Brigadier General Al Flowers, Jr.
Ms. Kathy Griesenbeck

Kathy Griesenbeck is the founder and president of Future Focus Non-profit Consulting, specializing in organizational strategy, volunteer development, and revenue generation. Her extensive experience includes serving as chief relationship officer at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where she led 750 staff members across 57 markets. She has also served as president of the Junior League and the Symphony League, among other community roles in San Antonio. Kathy’s visionary approach aligns individual strengths with organizational needs to drive sustainable growth. In her free time, she enjoys her five grandchildren, traveling with friends, and Hallmark movies, where all issues in life turn out positive.
Mr. Steven D. Jansma
Board Member
Steve Jansma is head of the litigation and disputes practice for the United States at his firm, leading 330 attorneys across 11 specialized teams. He has a national practice defending mass tort and complex product-liability disputes, with more than 30 years of experience serving as national coordinating counsel and lead trial counsel for Fortune 500 companies in multi-district litigation and class actions. Steve is recognized by Chambers and Partners; Legal 500; and Best Lawyers for mass tort, product liability, and personal injury, and is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mrs. Susanna Kitayama

Susanna Kitayama is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She has been with the Institute for Couples and Family since 2018, serving clients from all different life stages, ethnicities, and social economic backgrounds. After graduating from University of California Berkeley with a BS in psychology, she advanced her graduate studying at Fuller Theological Seminary. Susanna also worked as a registered nurse in both ICU and hospice settings for more than 10 years. She married Scott Kitayama in 2002. Together they raised three beautiful children. Susanna has a deep compassion with people whose lives are affected by their traumatic history. It is her desire to see people who are hurting being healed.
Mrs. Lupita Medina

Lupita Medina holds a BS in Secondary Education from Texas A&M Kingsville and an MS in Human Science and Development Education from Stephen F. Austin University. Now retired, she remains actively engaged in San Antonio’s nonprofit community, serving on the executive boards of the Christus Children’s Foundation, Seton Home, and Friends of Hospice. A practicing Catholic at St. Anthony de Padua, Lupita enjoys reading, painting, mahjong, and pickleball in her free time.
Rabbi Mara Nathan
Board Member
Rabbi Mara Nathan is the Senior Rabbi at Temple Beth-El in San Antonio. She is the first woman to serve as senior rabbi of a major congregation in Texas. Her priorities include community building, social justice, worship innovation, and community outreach. Ordained at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York in 2000, she holds a BA in History from Northwestern University with certificates in Jewish studies and women’s studies. A classically trained musician, Rabbi Nathan incorporates voice, flute, and guitar into her service leading and other programs.
Dr. Ian Thompson
Board Member
Ian Thompson, M.D., is a urologic oncologist and graduate of West Point who served as a general surgeon during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He is best known for leading the 25-year Prostate Cancer Prevention Trial involving nearly 19,000 men, which demonstrated that finasteride reduces prostate cancer risk by up to 30 percent in men over 55. Dr. Thompson also led the San Antonio Center for Biomarkers of Risk of Prostate Cancer and served as chair of the NCI Early Detection Research Network. He is currently leader of the Friends of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Foundation and the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Foundation.
Ms. Kristin Tips

Kristin Tips is president of Mission Park Funeral Chapels and Cemeteries and president of Fairmount Investments, LLC, which owns the historic 37-room Fairmount Hotel. She also serves as Chair of the Texas State Funeral Commission, appointed by Governor Greg Abbott. Inspired by the compassion shown to her family after losing her father as a teenager, Kristin has dedicated her career to supporting families through loss and redefining how lives are celebrated. She and her husband Dick are members of Christ Episcopal Church and parents to 13-year-old twins. In addition to The Center, Kristin actively supports the Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio, The Youth Orchestras of San Antonio, and a host of other charities throughout Texas.

Mary Beth Fisk has more than 30 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector as a visionary, executive, clinical research scientist, and community builder. As the former president and chief operating officer of South Texas’ largest blood, tissue, and cellular therapy center, Mary Beth initiated and implemented meaningful programs that still stand today, including Gencure (a cellular therapy & tissue engineering program involving umbilical-cord). Recognized as a two-time Health Care Hero by the San Antonio Business Journal, Mary Beth remains a passionate advocate for healthcare innovation, military veterans, and community advancement.
