The Center celebrates its 50th Anniversary, Art Heals Hearts, the opening of the Seeds of Hope Garden, and Veterans Day.
November was a month of celebration at The Center. Not only did we celebrate our 50th anniversary, but also our Art Heals Hearts exhibit and the opening of the Seeds of Hope Garden.
The two-day celebration began on November 2 at a special, VIP event as we honored those that have done so much for The Center over our 50-year history. We also celebrated the opening of the new Seeds of Hope Garden, a place for peace, tranquility, and meditation with a ribbon cutting ceremony at The Center’s headquarters in the Medical Center. In addition, we celebrated the private opening of our Art Heals Hearts exhibit. The exhibit was then opened to the public on November 3, and will be available for viewing through March 2018.
On November 10, we honored those who have served our country with our Veterans Day Celebration. Speakers and performers at the event included Col. Tom McNish, Maj. Gen. Al Flowers, the John Marshall High School JROTC, and the East Central High School Trombone Octet.
