Marla earned a Bachelor of Science from Baylor University, and a Master of Education in Counseling from Texas State University, and has attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Marla has been a counselor for 23 years. Along with individual and family counseling, she has directed programs in family preservation for teens on probation, served as a director for a child care and shelter facility, and worked with children and teens in foster care.
