It’s happening again! The Ecumenical Center warmly invites you to attend our annual Legacy of Hope luncheon on November 13, 2024, 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. This annual event directly supports The Center’s mission of providing counseling, education, and other services of care, expanding its reach as a force for hope and healing in communities across the region.
Our keynote speaker this year is Emmy-award-winning ESPN reporter Lauren Sisler. She will be sharing her powerful story of how she prevailed over the adversities of loss, shame, and fear, persevering through it all to emerge victorious in the end with a stronger spirit to show for it.
During her first year at Rutgers University, Sisler lost both of her parents within hours of each other to a concealed opioid addiction. She has since dedicated her life to helping others who have suffered in the face of addiction, inspiring them to overcome its gravity and stigma to lead lives of extraordinary fulfillment. Her new book, Shatterproof, serves as a guide for how we all can “break down the barriers that stand in the way of us living our best lives.”
