There’s been a lot going on at The Ecumenical Center this year, all of it rooted in a single, overarching goal: bring hope and healing to whomever needs it most. Counting new programs and satellite locations, including Kerrville and Hunt, as well as partnerships, therapeutic breakthroughs, and more, here’s a closer look at how we’re working to alleviate suffering across the state, one heart at a time.
Expanding Where It Matters Most
We never grow just to grow. When we hear from communities that don’t have access to mental health services, we take notice and go where we’re needed most. Below are our latest forays into neighborhoods all across the state.
- Marla Rushing Counseling Center: Located within the beautiful, historic Wolfson House on the grounds of First Baptist Church of San Antonio, this site currently offers confidential counseling two days a week. As community use increases, so will the hours of operation, with the goal remaining the same: bringing care closer to those who need it most.
- Bandera County: What began as outreach at the local senior center has now become a regular presence in its own right. Through a partnership with Silver Sage, our Health & Harmony team provides onsite counseling and support in a new office space with all-new signage that signals our long-term commitment to this underserved region.
- Batesville: In collaboration with Uvalde CISD, we offer discreet mental health support within a local school, foregoing signage to preserve the confidentiality of our patients. A clinician provides trusted care in a setting where privacy is especially valued.
- Spring Branch (Coming Soon): Plans are underway for a future location in this burgeoning community that sits between San Antonio and Blanco. Be on the lookout for more info to come.
